MD Tour Accounting is headed up by Mike Donovan. He has always worked within the music and entertainment world – as accountant at a heavy-rock management company, then at the Robert Stigwood Organisation, at a time when they were very successful with artists such as Eric Clapton and the Bee Gees, and the Evita and Jesus Christ Superstar stage shows.
He left Robert Stigwood almost 30 years ago to set up his own tour accounting business. Since that time he has worked with hundreds of artists, including several of the biggest bands in the world, and iconic artists such as Johnny Cash, James Brown, Little Richard, and Brian Wilson . He was also the Business Manager and Tour Accountant for legendary band Motorhead for almost 20 years, until Lemmy’s recent death. He now handles tour accounting and tax planning for many well-known names, from hardcore metal bands to heritage acts, as well as providing consultancy services on FEU matters to promoters and venues.
